Step into the artful realm of candle care, where contemporary living becomes an active part of self-care rituals.

Trim your wick to 5mm before each burn for an optimal flame. The shorter wick allows the wax to feed the flame more efficiently. If you are finding your wooden wick is not staying lit, this is usually the culprit.

Ensure a full melt pool on the first burn by letting the wax reach the vessel’s edge. This prevents tunneling and ensures an even burn. With our rounded-square candles, the corners will not melt on the first burn, but will catch up with subsequent burns.

Prioritize safety with an open flame. Never leave candles unattended, and keep them away from flammable items. Our cork-lined, polished concrete vessels do not get as hot as glass containers, however prolonged burning may cause them heat up.

Limit burn sessions to a max of 4 hours. This not only ensures safety but also extends the life of your candle.

Before relighting, allow wax to cool completely.

Our candles are hand-poured on Vancouver Island and made in small batches to reduce waste.

They are made using a premium natural soy, coconut, and beeswax blend which is toxin-free, biodegradable and clean burning. They are scented with blends made from pure essential oils and phthalate-free fragrance oils. The crackling wooden wicks are made from FSC certified wood.

Our handcrafted polished concrete vessels can easily be reused and upcycled around the home. Some uses include: plant pot, pencil container, jewelry dish, and more.

To clean out and reuse our vessels the two methods we have found that work best are:

  • Pouring hot kettle water into the vessel, waiting for it to cool and then lifting out the cooled wax puck from the top.
  • Heating your oven to the lowest setting (not recommended more than 200f) and letting the wax slowly melt. After it’s melted, pour the wax into silicone muffin tins to use in a wax melter.
  • With both methods, after the wax is removed, you can wash the vessel with hot soapy water to remove any residue.

We strive to have minimalist and mindful packaging.

Our candle and handcrafted concrete sleeves are laser cut on cardboard, which is compostable or recyclable.

Our kraft paper bags that we offer at markets are compostable or recyclable.
